L&T wins record offshore contract from QatarEnergy LNG

India’s Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured its largest-ever contract from QatarEnergy LNG, a subsidiary of state-owned QatarEnergy, for the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Project (NFPS COMP 4).

Awarded to L&T’s Hydrocarbon Business (L&T Energy Hydrocarbon – LTEH), the contract falls into the company’s “ultra mega” category, reserved for deals exceeding approximately USD 1.7 bln, though the exact value was not disclosed.

The project involves engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of two offshore compression complexes. Each complex will include large platforms equipped with compression and power generation facilities. The scope also covers living quarters, flare platforms, interconnected bridges, and related infrastructure.
