1. Who we are, and what this covers

MESteel.com ("MESteel", "we", "us") operates a business directory, marketplace and news service for the steel industry. These terms apply to everyone who uses the site, whether or not you hold a membership.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly at info@mesteel.com if you believe someone else has access to it.

Company accounts must be opened by someone authorised to act for that company. We may ask you to demonstrate that.

Registrations are reviewed before a company appears publicly. We may decline a registration, and we may remove a listing that turns out to be misleading.

3. Membership and payment

Membership fees are stated on the site and are quoted in US dollars. UAE companies are charged VAT at the prevailing rate in addition.

Membership runs for twelve months from the date it starts. Invoices are payable within 30 days. We may suspend a listing while an invoice is overdue.

Fees already paid are not refundable, except where the law says otherwise. If we get something badly wrong, talk to us — we would rather fix it than argue about this clause.

4. What you post

You keep ownership of everything you upload — your company details, logo, offers, inquiries, documents and job posts. You give us permission to display it on the site and in search results for as long as it is listed.

You confirm that what you post is accurate, that you are entitled to post it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

• Do not post material you cannot actually supply.
• Do not post an inquiry you have no intention of honouring.
• Do not upload anything unlawful, misleading or malicious.
• Do not use another company's name, branding or documents.
• Do not scrape the directory, or collect member contact details for bulk marketing.

Offers, inquiries and job posts are reviewed before they go live. We may decline or remove anything, and we will tell you why.

5. We are not a party to your trades

This is the important one. MESteel introduces businesses to each other. We are not a broker, an agent, a trader or a guarantor, and we are not party to any contract you form with another user.

We do not verify the material behind an offer, the creditworthiness of a buyer, the solvency of a seller, or the accuracy of a specification. Do your own checks before you ship or pay. That is ordinary practice in this trade and nothing on this site replaces it.

A verified badge on a profile means we have checked that the company exists and that the account belongs to it. It is not a statement about their material, their prices or their ability to perform.

6. News, prices and third-party content

Editorial and price reporting on the site is published for general information. It is not a valuation, an offer, or advice on which to trade. Prices reported by third parties are theirs, not ours.

Where we link to another site, we are not responsible for what is on it.

7. Availability

We work to keep the site up but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we may change or withdraw features.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost contracts or indirect loss arising from your use of the site, or from any dealing with another user.

Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the membership fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Ending it

You may close your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

When a listing ends, we remove it from public view. We keep records of transactions and invoices for as long as we are required to.

10. Changes, and the law that applies

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so on the site. Continuing to use MESteel after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.
