Emirates Steel holds rebar prices steady for October

UAE’s Emirates Steel, part of EMSTEEL Group, has kept its rebar prices unchanged for October production, marking the third consecutive month of price rollover.

The company maintained its price for 12-32 mm rebar at AED 2,921 (USD 795) per ton EXW, excluding 5pct VAT.

Market insiders said rebar demand is following a seasonal pattern, with activity neither particularly weak nor strong. Rebar mills continue to face delays and high costs in billet imports due to logistics disruptions driven by the geopolitical situation.

Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Emirates Steel has production capacity of 3.5 mln tons of steel and 4.6 mln tons of cement annually. The group exports to more than 70 markets, accounting for around 30pct of sales. Its product range includes wire rod, rebar, heavy sections and sheet piles.
