Kardemir cuts rebar prices

Turkish steel producer Kardemir has lowered rebar prices in its latest sales round, as per its new price list.

The company is now offering rebar in sizes from 12 to 32 mm at TRY 19,500 (USD 588) per ton, down from TRY 19,550 (USD 594) per ton in the third week of July, when the exchange rate was TRY 32.8 per USD.

Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company’s product portfolio includes blooms, billets, rebars, profiles, and various other steel products, with manufacturing facilities strategically located in Karabuk.
