Kardemir lifts long steel prices amid scrap price gains

Turkish steelmaker Kardemir has raised its rebar and wire rod prices, reflecting the recent uptrend in scrap prices.

The company now offers 12-32 mm rebar at TRY 20,415 (USD 567) per ton EXW, up from TRY 19,460 (USD 546) per ton EXW set on January 23, 2025.

For wire rod, the price for 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade has increased to USD 590 per ton EXW, while 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade is now USD 580 per ton EXW. Both prices are up by USD 15 per ton from previous levels.
