Kardemir lowers billet prices

Turkish steel producer Kardemir has reduced its billet prices, according to its latest price list.

The price for S235JR grade billets has been set at USD 480 per ton EXW, marking a USD 20 per ton decrease from the price announced on December 13, 2024. Meanwhile, B420 grade billets are now offered at USD 495 per ton EXW, down from USD 525 per ton in last month’s prices.

Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company’s product portfolio includes blooms, billets, rebars, profiles, and various other steel products, with manufacturing facilities strategically located in Karabuk.
