Kardemir raises rebar prices

Turkish steelmaker Kardemir has increased its rebar prices, according to the company’s latest price list.

The mill is now offering rebar at TRY 23,500 per ton (USD 558), up from TRY 23,365 per ton (USD 560) announced on October 9, based on an exchange rate of TRY 41.7 per USD.

Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company produces blooms, billets, rebars, wire rods, profiles along with other steel products. The company’s production facilities are located in Karabuk.
