Kardemir raises wire rod prices

Turkish steelmaker Kardemir has raised its wire rod prices by USD 10 per ton, according to its recent price list.

The company is offering 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade at USD 590 per ton EXW, while 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grades are offered at USD 580 per ton EXW.

Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company produces blooms, billets, rebars, wire rods, profiles along with other steel products. The company’s production facilities are located in Karabuk.
