Scrap import prices stable amid slowdown in buying activity

Turkey’s scrap import prices remained stable as buying activity slowed significantly. This slowdown was driven by weak demand in the finished steel segment and suppliers’ resistance to lowering prices.

Turkish finished steel offers remained unchanged due to limited demand in both domestic and overseas markets.

Rebar export offers range between USD 580-590 per ton FOB, while wire rod export offers are around USD 595-605 per ton FOB, unchanged from last week’s prices.
